Bhagavad Gita - Do what you can do 'very best'.

From Bhagavad Gita - Chaptor 3 Verse 35:

It is always difficult to decide what is best to do for a person. We always try to take others work as an example and then try our self to follow the same.

Lord Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita that as human you should perform only that task in which you feel yourself perfect and can do yourself best. Trying to copy others is most dangerous task for any one to perform, because it can do more harm then good.

Lord Krishna also says that take your work till death means once you start your work, just stick with it till your death, just by doing so you can achieve highest bliss. If you try to copy others, it is not only harmful but it will also drag you back.

Stand, and Wake up - Swami Vivekanand

Swami Vivekanand lectured about lots of topics on Vedic knowledge and one of the very popular phrase was "Utistha, Jagrat Bhava" means "stand and wake up"!!

May be the statement seems very general in first glance but it does contain great deal of energy in it for those who understand it deeply. This statement was for Indian youth who was lost and had no directly. Swami Vivekananad called every youth and asked them to stand up first means you cant achieve anything by sitting. And 'wake up' statement was a call for the youth mind to realize their potential within.

Utistha, Jagrat Bhav:: Stand and Wake up!!

Humor: I am not crazy, I am insane!!

I read this at one place:

I am not crazy, I am insane!!

WoW

Difference between concern and care

Concern, is something you may have about anything or anyone but as human you will not give more attention to it because you don't care about it.

So, what is Care?

Care is something you bring in your attention because you had concern about it, you have concern about it and you can't stop having concern about it.

You care because you had concern earlier!!

Summary - "Seed of compassion: Dalai Lama" Seattle, Apr 11,2008

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today i participated an astonishing "Seed of compassion: Dalai Lama" event at Seattle. The day was sunny (hardly you find during April) and the Dalai Lama was in his superb mood. The Seattle Seahawk's stadium was sold out and event organizers did great job.

Dalai Lama mainly point out the following things:

1. We as human born in this world with seed of compassion and the only thing we need it to cultivate it with other human
2. We need others be define "we" otherwise we are only "I" and I has no existence in society
3. The world definitely need to be nuclear arms free
4. Our Heart is filled with arms like anger, greed, lust, selfishness and ego.
5. We need to do "disarmament of heart" first
6. All world leader should spend family time first before deciding any policy against each other
7. A child with seed of compassion brings hope to this world
8. A society based on intellect has room for everyone and has equal chances for everyone success
9. Live with others to feel your existence
10. The time and good and we definitely are doing great job then our predecessors.

The Dalai Lama also referenced a Hindu vedic story where some of the human form are born from lotus. That was little humor to the crowd.

God bless all of us!!

Vedic Prayer :: Aham Brahmasmi

Prayer::

Aham Brahma-Asmi

Meaning:

"I am Almighty God!!" ( - syntax based meaning)

'I' am a part of Bramha (almighty God) ( - Literary meaning)

More Details:

This is a very popular verse from Veda but it is always misinterpreted by most learned personals. The direct meaning shows that a person can claim that "He is God" but that is not true. To understand this verse you must understand the context of this phrase otherwise you will understand it wrong.

Human is part of God in same was as 'ray from Sun', a 'drop from ocean' and a 'particle from universe'. But a ray from Sun can not be Sun itself and a drop from ocean can not be an ocean and a particle from this universe can not be whole Universe, same a human definitely is a part of God but human is "NOT GOD" because you can reach to the level of Godhood but being a God is not of character of human.

A note on vedic prayers

I am going to create a series of prayers found in Vedas. There is no start or end of these prayers. These prayers are just available in different chapters of Vedas and all of them talks about almighty God. Any worshiper can take any of the verse and master in it chanting can reach the godhood.

I will just have the topic "Vedic Prayer :: Title" and write the prayer in Roman English with its meaning as well.

What is "Om Shanti Om"?

"Om Shanti Om" is a phrase from Vedic scriptures.

It means "May God bring peace in this world"!!

::Om Shanti Om::

It is a very good day to start it!!

Today is very first of Indian Calender or you can say it is Indian New Year. We do believe it is the day when God decided to bring their incarnation to this world!!

I can not find any better day then this to start a new chapter in my life!!

May god give me power and devotion to keep it continue forever....

::Om Shanti Om::

How it started?

As the days pass the age number is increasing and the knowledge what i acquired in past years, is growing but at the same time the quest to know more is growing as well.

WOW!! What a grat feeling!!

The more you know, seems less and it feels the world of knowledge is still far far away. So the quest to know more is 'ON' and I very well know that, this quest has been started in past several lives and still be continue in future lives as well.. So what is it now...

Here is what I have in my mind and want to say myself.. This is a dialog between me and myself and you are a witness to it my friend!!

::Om Shanti Om::
